So after a ton of voting on Facebook, Twitter, and my Blog...the results are in and the black ad is by far the favorite! 63 people voted - the end result 25 to 38. Thanks so much for your input! This was such a tough call for me, but I'm excited to run the ad! I'm already loving the Brides Florida family so I can't wait to see what the rest of this year holds!
Oh...and I think the new Brides Florida magazine - with my ad included:) - will be avaialble in February/March

Like A Fox: One of a Kind and Limited Edition Jewelry
Christmas gifts anyone? Jewelry is always a good gift, but I can't tell you how much I love this jewelry...and so does every other girl I know, so you really can't go wrong here!
Like a Fox jewelry designer, Erin Sargeant, has such a knack for finding amazing vintage pieces and re-creating bits and pieces of them into new modern jewelry designs. Check out her unique designs at www.craftylikeafox.com
Of course shooting with my favorite people for one of my favorite designers/artists was incredibly fun! We did this shoot in my home, and with amazing Like a Fox jewelry, incredible styling skills by Rachel Plating, and professional modeling by Jess Hamblin (and Rachel!), this shoot could not have been more fun!
And yes...in case you're wondering about the last name, yes we are related, Erin is my husbands cousin, but a little nepotism never hurt anyone when it comes to good art!
And, of course, the beautiful artist!

Vintage, Inc
If you're familiar with Lakeland, hopefully you're also familiar with this fabulous shop at 201 McDonald Street. True to its name, Vintage is full of fun histoical, re-purposed finds.
I recently had the pleasure of snapping a few photos of the shop and I'm so excited to help get the word out about one of my favorite local businesses! (for my brides...this is where I buy my cute little birdie folders that you get at our initial meeting!)
Angie Suarez, the owner and master-antique-goodies-hunter has a shabby chic meets hip way of displaying her finds around the shop and I love that she places practical decorating ideas from various home decor magazines around various pieces as well...its like a little preview of how the piece could look in your home!
If you haven't been, check it out! Its worth the stop! ...And you can pick up my business card while you're there!
Shop Hours: Tues - Sat 11:00 - 5:00

Polk County Bridal Exhibit
Just wanted to share a few pics of my booth from the Polk County Bridal Exhibit 2 weeks ago at the Polk Museum of Art. It was a hectic and busy expo, but I've already got several amazing brides lined up for 2009 from the show!
And of course, thanks to Danny Cruz for the great photos! And endless thanks to my amazing assistant Rachel...aka "Red Hot Rachel" haha! :)

Welcome to my blog!
Hooray! I have finally added a blog to my website. When I will have the time to keep it current and up to date with posts is another topic entirely...
I've been shooting some great weddings and amazing brides lately, but as this is my first post, I'd like to share something that is personal and exciting to me.
My husband, Tosh, and I traveled to Rwanda in Central Africa this summer with an amazing non-profit organization called War Survivor Ministries. They match orphans and widows of war, genocide, and AIDS to create new family bonds and promote physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Of course I shot tons of photographs from the trip and selective prints are going to be displayed (and for sale!) at Mitchell's coffee house: 235 North Kentucky Ave,Lakeland, FL 33801, during the month of October.
There will be a reception on the evening of Friday, October 5, so join us to view the photos and meet with the people of War Survivor Ministries!
